The jab did not survive first contact with the host. After Otmar Szafnauer said Lewis Hamilton times his arrival for the photographers so he can wear "the ridiculous clothing", Jake Humphrey defended him, saying he likes the fashion and that Hamilton dares to stand out. Szafnauer's reply: "He can pull it off, I can't." The whole exchange was light hearted.
